Duxford aviation museum - (From Milton) I visited the Duxford aviation museum back in September while I was traveling in Europe. Attached are some pictures including planes in the restoration phase. They also have a large American hanger which included a B-52 bomber and SR-71 but these can be seen in Dayton and I did not include any pictures of American planes. There is also a gas powered (two 110 cc engines) 17 foot wingspan RC warbird that was in one of the hangers. I included a picture identifying the specs of this RC warbird. The museum, grounds, and airfield were awesome. |

Tucson Aerobatic Shootout: This event drew the top RC Pilots from around the world for 5 days of intense
competition. With a $100,000 plus purse (money and prizes) at stake, it
is certainly the premier RC event in the US. I (Al) attended the
event Friday through Sunday and witnessed some extreme flying. Wednesday
through Sunday was IMAC style sequences. Saturday and Sunday also
had 3-sets of 4-minute freestyles... they were totally awesome!
I took almost 6000 pictures and am presenting them to you in three
groupings, one for each of the three days I was there. Fridays Pictures These pictures mostly display the event property and a number of planes and pilots. Saturdays and Sundays pictures will focus on 3D flying. Sundays pictures will also show the awards ceremonies. Saturdays Pictures The 4 minute freestyles start. This is totally awesome flying done low to the ground and to music.Sundays Pictures Freestyle pictures along with the awards ceremonies.
